Father/Son Weekend
Dads, come spend a weekend with your son atop Lookout Mountain. You’ll get quality time with your son while canoeing Little River together, ziplining through the trees and playing Alpine’s famous “Slaughterball”. Reminisce about your days as a camper or counselor or perhaps find out what Alpine is all about for the first time. Either way, all are welcome, on a first come first serve basis.
If you son hasn’t attended camp yet, Father son weekend is a great way to introduce him to the camp setting.
You’ll get to meet some of our impressive college age counselors and stay in a cabin with your son and other dads and sons. He’ll feel so much more comfortable for a summer session having attended camp with you for a weekend. Be prepared – once you come, he’s gonna want to come back for the summer!
Thank you for having me and my boys this past weekend. We had a blast! We are still tired… which means it was fun. If I can ever serve you or Alpine in any way, please let me know.
The fun starts Friday night with dinner, games, and S’mores around a campfire before bed. Lunch on Sunday will conclude the weekend. In between you’ll get to choose from an array of activities to participate in together. Activities for the weekend include: Canoeing, Pool, Archery, Riflery, Frisbee Golf, Gladiator Ball, Zipline and Ropes Course, Climbing and Bouldering, Wilderness, Horseback, among others. And we’ll start Saturday with a devotional time just like we do every day in the summer. Sunday will bring a non denominational church service before a few more activities round out the weekend.
Boys must be in at least Kindergarten in the year they will attend. Many dads bring more than one son. Come join in the fun!
