Dick & Alice O’Ferrall
Alpine’s founder and his wife — “Mr. and Mrs. O,” as they are affectionately known to generations of campers — make their home at Alpine in Mentone, Alabama, and Lookout Mountain, Tennessee. They have two daughters, Mrs. Toy Harmon and Mrs. Carter Breazeale, both of whom remain closely involved with the camp.
