Employment
No camp is better than its staff. For this reason, we spend much of the fall, winter and spring visiting college campuses, investigating references, and most importantly, sitting down for a personal interview with each prospective staff member. Alpine aims to provide its campers with a collection of talented, mature, and fun loving Christian college age counselors to make each term of camp a success. Counselors live with a cabin of boys, and each of camp's four living areas are under the supervision and leadership of a Head Counselor.
Some counselors come to Alpine with hopes of passing on to their campers what they received in their days as Alpine campers. Other staff members have never spent even a week at a summer camp. The thing every counselor does have in common is a commitment to Christ and to the growth, fun, safety, and excitement of the boys who will attend camp.
Alpine offers both campers and staff an opportunity to be themselves in a fun and caring atmosphere of fellowship. Between teaching his activity, eating each meal in the dining hall with a table full of campers, and living with a cabin full of boys, counselors really get a chance to know the campers and each other in a variety of ways.
The staff's cohesion and efficiency also benefit from the fact that each staff member is at camp from the first week of Staff Training to the end of the final term of the summer. If you are interested in applying for a position on our staff for the coming summer, please print a copy of the application and mail it to us at your earliest convenience or fill out our online application. (Both are available at the end of the Employment section of our web site.)
